JSON v6, persistent identifiers, linked cross-references and bibliography, and formal TEI validation.
The TEI export targets TEI P5 4.12.0. Entries map to <entry>, stems to <sense type="stem">, and the JSON units called form map to <sense type="form">, because they contain definitions, attestations, citations and notes. Orthographic lemmas and variants use TEI <form>/<orth>.

Only unique, normalized lexical matches are linked automatically. Ambiguous and unmatched pointers are retained but explicitly marked unresolved; a review report is included in the data package.
Citations are linked to persistent bibliography IDs only by controlled exact, normalized, prefix, high-confidence fuzzy, or explicit ibid inheritance rules. Uncertain cases remain unlinked.
The project ODD (schema/blau-tei.odd) is compiled into Relax NG (schema/blau-tei.rng) and the complete dictionary is validated against that schema in every release check. A second, reproducible CI step uses the TEI Consortium Stylesheets (teitorelaxng, pinned to Stylesheets 7.61.0 / TEI P5 4.12.0) to compile the same ODD and validate the full dictionary against the officially generated schema. Machine-readable reports and SHA-256 hashes are included.
The website generates TEI on demand from the canonical JSON v6 data. The archival release package also includes a frozen full-dictionary TEI snapshot so that the article and release checks can refer to an immutable version. Release 1.1 additionally provides stable entry URLs of the form /entry/blau-e-….
